From 19 - 29 March 2026

DAY 1: Windhoek
30 Kilometers
Arrival in Windhoek and transfer to the hotel. Settle in and relax. In the late afternoon, we will take our bikes for a test ride and explore Windhoek. This is more of a ride to acclimatize, test the bikes, and stretch our legs.
Airport transit: 50 km

DAY 2: Spitzkoppe
30 Kilometers
After breakfast, we prepare for a transfer. We are moving to Spitzkoppe, which means we will be traveling to an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters. Spitzkoppe is sometimes referred to as the Matterhorn of Namibia. After settling into our base camp, we will take a drive through this beautiful area.
Transfer: 300 km

DAY 3: Spitzkoppe - Brandberg
677 meters
95 Kilometers
Now it really begins! A 95 km drive from Spitzkoppe to the Brandberg. You won't encounter many people. Uis is a very peaceful village that used to be an old tin mining town. It must have been very lively once. Don't miss the sunset at the Brandberg... then you'll understand where its name comes from.

DAY 4: Brandberg - Madisa
1084 meters
90 Kilometers
From Brandberg, we head to Madisa. An inn in the middle of nowhere on the edge of the river, which is currently dry and more like a desert, but believe it or not, every year the water flows there at full speed. On the way from Uis to Madisa, we will also come across a few villages with Hima and Herero women. They sell art.

DAY 5: Madisa - Twijfelfontein
294 meters
70 Kilometers
Madisa to Twijfelfontein. This means we are in the heart of Damaraland with its incredible landscapes. After a stretch of terrible road, we arrive at a new asphalt road... perhaps a good idea to do a time trial there... because the hotel is magnificent, so the sooner we get there, the more we can enjoy it.

DAY 6: Twijfelfontein - Palmwag
1251 meters
112 Kilometers
From Twijfelfontein, we cycle further north to Palmwag. If you thought it had been quiet and peaceful on the road over the past few days... it gets even better, even quieter, even more peaceful! You could take a thousand photos here and not a single one would capture what you see here. It is, after all, the queen stage!

DAY 7: Palmwag - Hobatere
1100 meters
120 Kilometers
Today we have a ride planned... "Catch me if you can." No, hopefully not the rhino behind you, but this drive will continue until we catch you or until you say, “This is where I stop.” After the last person has boarded, we will transfer to Hobatere. It is a lodge on the edge of Etosha where the animals come to drink at a waterhole. This time, it's wildlife spotting with your feet in the pool.

DAY 8: Otjiwa
20 Kilometers
Yesterday was our last "real" cycling day. Today we will transfer to Otjiwa. There we will stay at a lodge on private property for the last night, and there will be an opportunity to go on a safari bike drive to see the rhinos.

DAY 9:Transfer to the airport
Get up and prepare for the transfer to Windhoek. It's a 5-hour drive. We make sure we can stay at the lodge as long as possible but still arrive at the airport on time. An extra rhino tracking session is still an option. And then, sadly, it's over, time to go home.
Transfer: 320 km (5h)

What's the difficulty like?
Everyone rides at their own pace, want to ride fast? Go for it! But you don't have to. The track is pretty accessible, but even though it looks like a gravel trip, we recommend a MTB. There are quite a few encounters with loose sand, so wider tires will make that much easier!
